Good analysis, hard to disagree with anything they said.

"Realistically, Artis could sell it all today for maybe $9 or $10. So we are not going to make the case that this is a bad valuation. We are only going to make the case that there are better risk-reward situations out there where you can make 25% plus with lower risk. Even here, we might have ventured a long position in the common units if the company was not hellbent on pursuing another REIT, Dream Office REIT (D.UN:CA) with its cash."

I agree with that, Manjis unorthodox and disguised approach poses risk for sentiment.  But, he has big skin in the game and can ill afford to not get it right.

the guy is a joke. he said artis would cut the distribution to start the year. also told me tnt was a zero and compared dream office to slate. he has no clue. hence he is citing analysts being reserved on artis' nav as evidence it doesnt offer upside.

Respectfully, I believe his main point/ concern appears to be with the remainder of the portfolio heavy in office with a zest to add more, the same concern I have shared for some time now. Given the nice move up already, I somewhat understand his hedge. Ooops gotta go will continue.
