My buddy just kicked his 20 year old son out of the house.

Apparently, he ignorantly was stock trading and is in some serious margin call trouble. I guess he was up on some trades but now has lost everything he had and is in a negative margin call. Brokerage is calling the house.

Common story. Over 80% of "day traders" eventually lose everything.

Unfortunately many just jump in without any education or training. I told my son if he can pass the Canadian Securities course exam I will give him $20,000 to start investing. Lol! that was three years ago and he still hasn't passed the exam.
