Trading halts should be for all, not just some

Those trading houses that caused today's events need to be prosecuted. Affected stocks should have been stopped by IROC, or similar institution across the board, with no access by anyone. To keep it fair, it has to be everyone or no one. Timing is everything when trading. To allow the hedge funds to catch up to the situation was a disaster and robbery of the small trader. To allow the small trader to only sell was playing right into the hands of the hedge funds, who were adding to their short positions, as they knew given the blockage, that prices could only go down. So unfair, unjust, illegal.

Absolutely. If there's anything good to come out of this it's that international eyes are now wide open as to how they system benefits and protects hedge fund managers and elitists while it does nothing whatsoever to protect the other 99% of the population - the average Joe retailer investor.
