Patent sale and OnwardMobility phone somehow related.....

My view is that the patent sale and 5G phone partnership ( or commencement) is somehow connected..
John Chen said patent sale update in January 2022 to SHAREHOLDERS, and OnwardMobility says update on ultra-secure  5G/PKB Enterprise phone ( does not mention the word BlackBerry, so buyer of phone patents/rights? ) in January 2022.

Release even the sale to OnwardMobility asap.....

Aloy, it does look that way. At minimum OWN is part of the circle buying the patents. The onward looks like a shell company for someone else, could be intel agencies.  whatevrr the case they need to just announce the deal. Chen shouldn't be holding back. Announce the numbers.

thats the beauty of this bullboard - lots of educated opinions..thou i DISAGREE on this one..WHY?? i think its more likely maybe  having problems with supply chains OR MORE IMPORTANTLY, quality issues to BB's satisfaction..i mean whats their pedigree in producing a 5G phone???  Also, isn't there phone industry norms for patent usage ??? Bottom line JC has staked his claim to the ...more

Thank you Real Alloy.  Always enjoy your input whether here or ST which I browse periodically. LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!  It has been a long grind.  If one patenent is holding this up, it's par for the course.  BB could fail if that's the holdup, you know, the judge is connected to the guy that's connected to the guy that's connected to the guy who' ...more

I sometimes wonder what might happen if BB decided to play dirty. An informal poll....What is a bigger cyber threat to the national security of most nations?  1. Bad Guys: Hackers/cyber criminals/spies/enemies  2. BB cyber security knowledge used unethically 3. Wall/Bay St., hedge funds, & financiers etc bent on keeping the best cyber security company on the sidelines thus making ...more

4,3,2,1 is the order.  Regulators (SEC, other gov agencies) are most likely trying to destroy BB for last 8 years. You saw recently how the US justic system all of the sudden opened the 8 year old lawsuit against BB. How do you think that happened? They are trying to force BB to sell to American company so they can insert back doors and steal the patents.  do you remember after the ...more

Hedge, from personal viewpoint, I wouldn't feel bad for the main streets of Wall and Bay, the Hedge suits, scumbag FUD writers, lobbyists, politicos and all other manner of unethical creepos were they to wake up with a flesh eating virus, much less the tech' kind. Alright, maybe off with their flesh is a bit extreme. :) From a business ethics point of view, one of the things I admire most ...more

Wolf... I know BB wouldn't play in the dirt, sabotaging or corrupting a national defence system's computers to the point of a Dr Strangelove moment. So that makes the people keeping a company from preventing such a scenario from happening.....perhaps  more dangerous to people's welfare than you think. How much ransomware has been paid to criminals that probably shouldn't have ...more

I hear ya on both points. Sad that gluttonous companies, parasitic lobbyists and fund raising politicos are all to willing to hold back progress. The big 3 ICERs have screwed up our world long enough. They've been trying to slow progress since about the time Henry Ford took his last bigoted breath. Just imagine all the needless traffic deaths because big auto didn't want to risk spending ...more
