BB vs FB.......

When Chen mentioned how Blackberry would be compensated for the IP sale....
the wording of equity position stikes interesting. Given that BB's IP lawsuit reached
to Germany , and maybe other counties....in no way this story is complete. Would I
like to see BB score a small equity position within Facebook....sure. The IP sale and
the FB settlement are tied together....but good luck in trying to figure this all out.......

i lean that way also, maybe 60/40,.....just present the monster bull case to balance the group process. But it is possible and a few bits support it ... such as a " protected settlement" being a vehicle for capital gains purposes,.....and also the IPRC designation in patent court,....suggesting that a 3rd party is the next to make a move. ....we shall see

According to google and the CRA, "substantially all" patents sold (wording in IP sale PR) is defined as 90%.

my only add here is that bb sold substantially all of its legacy patents.....none of its core patents and substantially all or >90% of the legacy patents.

my point being, we could still own a handful of legacy patents. Just by the way it was worded.

and thus perhaps tbere may still be a steady stream of licensing revenue , to some degree for a patent or 3 that sre locked into contract?, no ip business needed? Just a thought,....we didnt sell all of the legacy mobile and messaging patents,....we sold substantially all of them. There is a distinction there

no axeman has work without at least 2 deranged necks. Its one thing to call someone stupid,....its entirely cowardly to applaud another doing so.
