 talked to a software security specialist from Alberta Health Services yesterday. He knew nothing about blackberry ivy in auto. Almost nobody does.  ( he does now, and I texted him the most recent frost & sullivan white pater on bb ivy) what he did know about though, was machine to machine communications. We have been right all along here at ST about the limitations of iOS, android and Linux on this subject. They are not capable of what qnx does on cross platform communication. That really caught his attention. The obvious too? Those operating systems do not have the security either. Blackberry ivy for the win, in all OEM’s, including Tesla. ( inevitable)

Yeah, this ability of QNX to allow cross-platform communications between machines should be explained and marketed far and wide. That would open up the market even more to QNX, and to IVY.

Dugstr2 41m $BB  my timeframe on tesla capitulating to bb ivy? within 5 years I’d say. Elon is a stubborn fellow. Once you hear Fords system, ( an assortment of operating systems under the hood) equipped with bb ivy, (because this is what ivy allows you to do) communicates with your fridge to get milk, ( android) the gig will be up for Elon. All OEMS will need bb ivy for this type of ...more
