Why is blackberry splitting into 2 business units

Why are we splitting into two business units? Do your DD on Richard to see where we are going. Focused management: As a distinct entity, Verizon Wireless could have dedicated leadership and management focused solely on wireless operations and growth strategies. Financial clarity: The separate structure allowed for clearer financial reporting and tracking of the wireless division's performance, which was important for investors and strategic decision-making. Operational flexibility: Operating as a separate unit gave Verizon Wireless more autonomy in making decisions specific to the wireless market without being constrained by the broader company's priorities. Strategic partnerships: The joint venture structure with Vodafone allowed Verizon to leverage Vodafone's expertise and resources in the wireless industry while maintaining majority control. Market positioning: As a distinct brand, Verizon Wireless could establish itself as a leader in the wireless market, separate from Verizon's wireline operations. Adaptability: The separate structure enabled Verizon Wireless to more quickly adapt to the rapidly evolving wireless technology landscape and market conditions. This organizational approach supported Verizon Wireless's growth and dominance in the U.S. wireless market, allowing it to become the country's largest cellphone network at various points in its history. Does all of this sound familiar? I thought so....We will retain at least 55% ownership in the new entity and find out in October who our new partners are. You have until then to enter or average down as an early investor!

Seperate units I am onboard but JG mentioned no spin off. I hope he doesn't flip flop on this again.
