in my opnion Gov never run out of ideas as how to cause troubles for canadian companies so it can be taken over by france or usa when the wheels start to turn, they ust put a stick in the wheels

on the other hand, i would not be surprized if canada, France and usa will decrease taxes on french and usa private jets sales

Yes sure, France is going to make a new law to make a special fiscal imposition just on the private jet. I am sure this is the next fight for the government agenda after the covid19 and the pension reform... Lol. This is like the conflict between alstom and the RATP who was supposed to hit BBD... It is nice to look for bad news, but you invent them from nothing.

This is not a target against just BBD, it is a luxury goods tax including yatchs, cars and other personal goods that retail for over 100k. This will not deter demand, that's why they can do it. The Governments logic is understandable. It's the rich that can afford to pay the Luxury tax. But I'm wondering if it affects sales outside of Canada. Bombardier's Jets are mostly exported. How ould that work? Would they tax Exports?

Will not affect export sales that account for 95 % of sales, that tax affect canadians only.
