IMO it all has to do with Covid and the surge . Leave it up to the Americans to screw everything up because 50% refuse to get vaccinated and couple that with the news out of the olympics, you have a perfect scenario for the shorts taking advantage.   They don't have an excuse...we are higher of vaccinated people here in Canada even with much less accessibility to the drug.

as you said," it all has to do with Covid and the surge"  i add also duo to drop in oil prices after Opec meeting but that does not mean that bbd.b drop over 10% while dow only drop 2% as a matter of fact all news show that bus. jets market and maintenance are on the rise, so if bbd follow market drop 1.5% - 3 % drop is the rang,,,, not 11% so, once market collect all shares

Sham.. but that does not mean that bbd.b drop over 10% while dow only drop 2% You are mixing apples and oranges here especially on such a specific event and ruling out such things as naked shorting perfectly permitted here while also ignoring the surge % of days past compared to the dow and TSX
