Interesting week ahead!!

as you know, extraordinary times create extraordinary opportunities. Using old statistics and old data doesn't work as well now a days for active traders. This is why it's so important to understand how hedge funds, money managers, banks and institutions works and are positioned in different markets. Using the right tools, data, statistics, Dayly, Weekly, monthly cycles, understanding macro economics, capital flows in the markets is necessary. So what to watch this week that may impact the markets and have an indirect effect on BBD? We have Powell and Yellen testimony before Senate in middle week, will they push tapering? Then we have OPEC decisions on the oil Side and non farm payrolls on Friday and on top of that we have COVID with new developments. Keep in mind that we are starting a new month and tax season in front of us. With that being said, have a wonderful week what ever your trading position is and trade safely.

So,  then what are your trading positions given all that background?   That is what interests me.   All the rest are things investors have to deal with on a daily basis. You seem to be reiterating a very broad list of market factors without stating you own opinion.  Its of no value until you stick your neck out IMO.

Maybe because inflation, rates, tapering, FED ECB reactions, covid. None of this is realy predictable and no analyst agree on something (Particulary if the inflation is temporary or permanent).  For me the question is, if the inflation is permanent and the Central bank need to increase the rates, is it good or bad for bbd? Rate increase mean the end of over valued stocks, maybe it can ...more

Pundits on CNBC are blaming most of the inflation on supply chain bottle necks and may be likely here till all of 2022. I would think that BBD has supplier contracts in place while they do plenty of their own parts.  I would think also they have altenative logistic plans in place if the supply needed is made and  available.    I think that the order backlog along with ...more

When i mean inflation i mean global economy inflation and not just raw materials. When the salary will start to climb, we will have a global inflation and the central bank will have to raise the rates to go back to a normal situation. Something we did not had since 2007. For sure it will change the directions the funds are invested arround the world, with the deflation of some bubbles like ...more

Guillaume - Debt shouldn't be an issue if rates go up. I'll refer the '3 years, almost 2 now, runway'.. since it has been renegociated and they don't have to pay or deal with it... humor me here... until 2024. Since debt is usually temporary then being seen as undervalued would be a good thing for bbd... imho. Like you said, with Covid-19 everything's up in the air as far ...more

one of my most profitable week it was. I said in the bigining of the week to check out oil and Metals and what a rollercoaster it was.
