Might be a good time to Exit

Ukraine invasion will send the markets into bear territory likely 25% drop plus rate hikes. Markets are very fragile at the moment because of Putin.

The way you're trying to grab at every possible bad news for Bombardier make me think you should rename yourself Doomicron2022.

Trim or rebalance is fine but exiting the market completely is a fool's game. A lot of people exited in March 2020 and went to cash and missed out on a gigantic recovery.

Ukraine or not some have to buyback before Q4 and it’s coming.  GLTALongs!  Have a good day!

You will find all kinds reasons from those who play the possibilities.. Even the Globe and Trash has a pirce on Bombardier calling them whiners because of the proposed wealth tax on luxry items which include planes. Is it possible that Johnney boy sent them the idea on the whining aspect ??
Comment by clubhouse19 on Jan 27, 2022 10:08am
The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday edition that the federal government says it will soon introduce a special luxury sales tax on high-priced cars, boats and planes, despite domestic manufacturers' concerns that their customers are already cancelling orders to avoid the new surcharge. The Globe's Chris Hannay writes that the Liberals proposed the tax in the 2021 budget as a way to ...more

Another twisted article. This will not impact bombardier aviation. It might impact BRP if their product is over 100k. Rich people are not stupid. All they need to do is create a charter company and charter their own bizz jet. Most are already doing this anyways. Quick search on Canadian aircraft registry shows jets owned by cooperation not individual. Its not even a big problem for diamond. They ...more

If the business aircraft is used for ‘’ business ’’ and not for leisure, will the buyers still have to pay the special luxury sales tax?
Comment by stockitnow on Jan 27, 2022 11:04am
This only applies for leisure. Otherwise Air Canada, Westjet etc., and private jet charter companies would have already complained about this. Same for ferry and boat operators who use boats for business.
Comment by balmusette on Jan 27, 2022 11:12am
Then, I don’t expect Ottawa will make a lot of money with this new tax; at least with the business aircrafts.
Comment by clubhouse19 on Jan 27, 2022 11:21am
What's the most comical is that they tried their best to included MODEL AIRPLANES since they target all planes over 100k.. What a friggen joke...typical as this imo will cost more to administer than the 150 million they claim to receive in extra taxes.  Not enough paper pushers I guess.
Comment by clubhouse19 on Jan 27, 2022 11:35am
Here is the clown that wrote that piece...I sent him my thinking of him and his impartial journalism. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/authors/chris-hannay/

Model airplanes...! Ha Ha, incredible, If they task the CRA to collect this tax, you can be sure that it will cost more than what will be collected. They aim the easy targets like people with salaries and a few dollars in the bank. They are not very good at collecting taxes if it involves too much work, just check their score for collecting lost taxes from canadians hiding money in tax ...more

Agree with you Balmusette since this tax will only apply to luxury goods delivered in Canada.  I dont believe it will apply to Exports (most of sales). What is considered a luxury good for purposes of the new tax? A new term “Select Luxury Goods” is being introduced, It’s likely that this term will eventually subject additional goods to the luxury tax. For the time being, Select Luxury ...more

Correct. Canada won't tax exports. They have NAFTA/CUSMA for Import/Export guidence. Exports/Imports are governed by rules. All I see on this board are some unknowledgeable aholes/people like omicron trying to put fear into people about the Bomber. The Bomber is doing great, and Q4 will show that. Bombardier is showing "HEALTH" as every day passes. Buy all the shares you can. You& ...more

According to the proposed tax,,,items used for personal use only. OF course the Globe and Trash would generalize it and target they favourite whipping boy! https://www.canada.ca/en/department-finance/programs/consultations/2021/consultation-proposed-luxury-tax/select-luxury-goods-tax.html

Globe and Mail really has an agenda against Bombardier; so many negative stories for a few positive ones.

Theres a lot of shares out there BOYSE

Its a lot of chest beating from Russia's side. Putin screwed himself into a corner. If Russia invades Ukraine then its game over for already failing Russian economy. Russia supplies 1/3 of Europes natural gas demand. US and other exporting countries will supply to EU to make up for the Russian shares. All the sanctions against Russia on top of already existing sanctions will shut Russia down ...more

LMAO The markets have already been told by Biden that Puting will invade and the market soars by 600 points. The globe and trash play into the canadians' "eat your own attitude". How dare the Bomber sells to rich people in canada... Raising 150 million  LOL  That's like the cost of 2 globals for all those items but the globe and trash highlights Bombardier ??

It's all Lieberal/Marxist virtue signalling. What's even funnier is the leader of the Non-Democratic Party, that Monty Python-esque character who wears Rolex watches, was threathening to "tax the rich" in the last election. Wow, what an original idea.

You mean the kid that wore blackface on more occasions than he can remember and calls everybody that disagrees with him a racist and misgynistic, yeah that one!  They stopped being Liberal a long time ago.

Trudeau will be out of the game for the next five days, he has to isolate himself for he has supposedly been exposed to covid. Hummm, what could pass for bad luck seems to be a great timing, since the convoy of angry truckers starts arriving in Ottawa tomorrow

You're thinking and postings are as ignorant as can be....   you certainly think like a Trumpass lapdog !!  You want to see the list of GOPS that wore blackface  Al Jolson made money doing it  Some learn but you seem never will and do you really know what Marxism is ?   In fact Pelladeau  first name Karl changed from Carl because Karl was his hero but turned ...more
