Moody's acknowledgement of improving fundamentals

Not sure if posted, here is Moody's official statement and rating on BBD's lates 2029 notes

"Bombardier continues to demonstrate improvement in its operations, with the company having generated positive free cash flow in each quarter since June 2021. Revenue visibility has improved and book to bill was 1.4x in 2022.   Additionally, Bombardier continues to repay debt, repaying $1.1 billion in 2022."

We're definately going to get an upgrade from Moody's in Q1/23 the latest. Because we'll be better than 6X( Debt to EBIDA) of today. We should probably get to 5.2X in Q1/23 when the dust settles on the Note payments, by the end of Q1/23. The tide is turning guys. This is probably the turning point to propel the company past it's Debt woes. Enjoy the runs. Thanks for this post ...more

Once the debt rating hits A and higher, the big funds can start buying. With only 86 million shares, the increased demand is going to force the share price higher. This is where possibly BBD can do a forward split as you previously mentioned. I am looking forward to that day moreso than a dividend. Then a dividend resumption. This would complete the turnaround. We are not there yet, but getting ...more

Technically they (Tutes) can get to the buying stage earlier. Once we reach the BBB range or 3X range? Then it's game on for them. I think it could start as early as mid 2024. That's when the writing will be on the wall for them. I know we'll get that forward split for sure, given the number of shares outstanding. So really it's inevitable. Everything will come to a head when when ...more

The Company's most recent guidance was 15-20% increase in deliveries this year over last.  That's before Pearson comes online.  I don't recall them saying what Pearson's capacity will be.  Any guesses, and will they even want to necessarily go there? Maybe their focus will be max efficiency instead of max units.

what I like about the current situation:  - increasing deliveries  - increasing margins  - few R&D sinkholes  - decreasing debt  - top of the line product vs other competitors who are playing catch uo (with the R&D budgets to supprt the catch up)  - virgin market potential in the military  if there is one downside it would be the biz jet mania ...more

I like his last statement on Debt he used the word (exponential). That's essentially how it is/works. Our LTD re-payment will reach a point to where the Interest payment and the principal payment are at a point where Principal is heavier than interest. That point is coming in the end of 2023. That's my point (pun intended).

Clarification. I likend the Junk Bond (JB) to a regular Mortgage by talking about Principal. It is similar, when you really think about it. In a JB the Principal (or face value of the JB) is paid off, at any point with a partial, or full payment, that the company feels confortable with.. Except that there is NO direct Principal repayments with a JB, where the JB holder has blended principal, or ...more

Well that's the key questions here Truth. That's what I'm saying here to Temp and Flamingo, on the Credit ratings discussion. Effeciency will be the key. Because once you can produce something faster and cheaper due Pearson Production capability then the customers will take notice. It's just common sense that people/customers would rather get their planes quicker because they ...more
