I just noticed this discussion on this post thread.
I feel for the construction industry ,& the other Socio/Economical problems like Inflation that these idiot Federal/Provincial/Municipal Bureaucrats have created.
But there is no end to this Buraucratic stupidity. They've now created another monster of "Inflation" that they won't be able to figure out for years by charging low to no " INTEREST RATES".
These Bureauctrats have NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING. These Bureaucrats in this country have RUINED Canada. How? They started with the realization that the Construction Industry is a lucrative TAX business to get into, & control it by taxing it to shite. Builders build houses for Immigration. Bureaucrats collect construction money. Then Taxes for the constructed homes from the Homebuyers, (HST & Land transfer Tax), & property tax, for the rest of their lives here.
This whole thing started when they realized that they needed more money for the 5 MILLION or so CANADIAN GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES, that are scamming our MONEY from the PUBLIC TAXES that they collect, from The Construction/Food & Natural Resources Industries.
When these Public Service Unions & Movements started to GROW? They increased 10 fold in front of our eyes, and we the PRIVATE Sector couldn't do anything about it. There are 2 sets of Government Bureacratic thieves. The Elected officials & the NON-ELECTED BUREAUCRACY. The elected ones come to power, for 4 years, and then a new set comes on to take their place to start stealing. Which is worse? The Non-elected are the the real thieves yet they are the Dumber and most dangerous IMHO. The elected ones don't give a flying F because they're there to steal from us, for as much as they can, at the fastest amount of time, and get the F out. The Bureaucracy that remains behind are the real thieves, living off our TAX DOLLAR backs. This is the reason that we are in this MESS. We can't get rid of them either. Here in Ontario they are slowly figuring out. But I'm afraid it's too late.
Let's start with the construction Industry. 45% Of the Canadian Taxes, come from the Construction Industry. The Federal Gov't gave the power to the Provinces, and the Provinces started to download the power to the Municipalities on the Construction Industry. Meanwhile they all are all stealing from the Costruction Industry. They (The Federal, Provincial, Municipal) started with this IDEA that they needed more NEW cheaper housing here in Ontario. So to keep this CONSTRUCTION "House of Cards of Cards" scheme going. They started with IMMIGRATION. How? The Feds bring in 400K of Immigrants in a year, so those Immigrants can start demanding the lower end housing built. They started to allow costruction for smaller, or INTENSIFICATION as they say, to build more crowded Housing because they need to keep up with the tremendous demand for the huge Immigration scheme. So the smaller house Sellers buy higher end homes and so on. But the Feds started bringing in the wrong kind of Immigrants along with the ones that we really needed, and they ruined everything. They Brought the rich ones from other countries that started to gobble up our cheap Housing/Food & Resource Industry and the people who really needed the cheap homes & products, couldn't afford to buy anything anymore as time went on.
Look guys. This isn't rocket science. The Bureaucrats are really stupid people. They only bring in Family & Friends to work for the Government JOBS, and they do as little as possible for their Guaranteed $100K salary a year, and just go home every day, and don't care about the problems they create to the Canadian Housing/Food & Natural Resource Industry. This Bureaucratic Stupidity is evident in the latest debacle of LOW to ZERO Inerest rates. They gave those smart rich Immigrant population, that they brought in here, more cheap money, and more of a chance to steal from us, by giving them free money on top of their cunning wit. These people have ruined us.
Look it should have been easy. When you bring in skilled labour that we need. You control it. The construction Industry/food & Resource Industry needs say, 100K a year. You don't bring in 300K or the RICH thieving individuals from Countries that we're at war with, like China, Iran, Russia, etc. to take over our Industries. That's what is primarily happening here in Canada. The above 3 groups have now destroyed the Ontario Provincial Real Estate market. Because of them we have NO INVENTORY, because they buy everything, and the housing sits empty, or rented. Because the INFLATIONARY HOUSING prices have made it impossible to buy homes, FOOD PRICES have gone through the roof, because of over-Immigration, & our Resource's are not ours anymore. If you Quebecer's think that I'm wrong, then look at your Lumber Industry, (Domtar), Look at your Cement Industry (McInnis) etc. But the biggest "poster child of this problem", that we have with these Bureaucrats is ONTARIO. We're F'd here. Our taxes are up, (HST), our housing supply is scarce, our food prices are through the roof, and most of our Resources are in foreign hands. Our Hospitals & roads are full, and these Bureacrats don't have a clue why their children can't afford to buy a house in the Province. The Development charges, the Levies, the Permits, & Construction regulations have all Increased Housing costs and prices, to the HILT. Now the Trades are jumping on board & the Builder/Developers don't give a Shite about building cheaper houses. They can't because of high costs.
These problems were created by these stupid Bureaucrats that wanted to keep the "House of Cards" Home Industry going. Because they wanted to TAX the Shite out of the Construction Industry, so they can keep their jobs & salaries growing. They didn't care of the problems they would create by what they've done. FIRE THEM ALL. Who is going to do it? I don't know. I don't know if it CAN BE DONE? I do know that it has to be done. There were many books written in Canada & the US, about this problem of the Bureaucracy in North America. I see no solution other than firing them all. It maybe too late, because they are just too strong to take on. JMHO
