Canada's population grew by 1M people in 2022.

More than ever in any year of Canada's existance. Is this Government MENTAL or what????

I hear that the Toronto & the Greater Toronto Area Real Estate, was starting to go up again, with Rental rates higher & home prices starting to get multiple offers again. This because of no home availability for rentals, & low home construction and Inventory for sale.

Yet this stupid government brought 3X the normal yearly population into Canada in one year alone in 2022.

Is Trudo a dumbie??? I thought he was an ok leader. But this stupudity happened under his watch. What's going on here? Are they all insame?

On another topic. The Interest rate hike in the US have taken the rates up by a quarter point. They needed it. They will start tightening money policy from now on, instead of raising rates higher. This is what I expected. That will give them the same effect of a full point Increase in rates. Let's see what happens.

I don't see inflation coming down any time soon. For sure not till the of 2024. If this Canadian Govt/Bureaucracy keeps this Immigration rate up? We'll be in deep shite. These people that come her need food & shelter. Where the FK if this Govt going find the shelter & how are they going to get prices of FOOD down? Services are already up 2X their normal prices. If these Grocery guys see no demand reduction for their food? They will never bring Inflation, and more importantly demand down? If Canada decides to fiscal tightening as well? Then we could have some real pain soon here in Canada and in construction.

Mental you say ? The govt has become a monster with a ferocious appetite from municipal to federal ...they never have enough money and opening the doors is their solution ... problem is these immigrants come in here and swallow up everything in sight , overcrowding every inch of space and driving up the price for everything.. I have never seen such laxisme and incompetence  in every   ...more

Being a net exporting country, I do not understand how the continued labor shortage without bringing in more workers being traned and put to use, can solve this problem? As far as quebec is concerned, being the most taxed region on North America, you can understand why many do not want to work here unless subsidized in some way.  All you have to do is see the plight of the Canadiens ...more

859    I don't get your tirade on accapting immigrants. https://www.statcan.gc.ca/en/subjects-start/labour_/labour-shortage-trends-canada   There is clearly a labour shortage and according to these numberts. 35 % of all industries are exepriencing it.    Labor shortages adds to inflation and if you are a net exporting company that affects the industries even more. & ...more

Hi Club. Sorry I just saw this. My tirade as you say has nothing to do with Canada bringing in people. Even at the pace of 500K or even more a year. The problem I have is that, they are bringing the wrong type of people in. The people coming in, are mostly the rich, who don't want to work. And mostly from country's that are war torn. If they want to bring in those war torn immigrants ...more

859 I don't know where you get that from that they only bring in the rich. This is what is documented by the Governemnt . But then again...You may say those are phony numbers.  What i found interesting that was stated is that nearly all of the employment growth is filled by immigrants, so how can people say that what they bring in are those that don't want to work ? https://www ...more

Club. Look at your own charts. You need to do that to understand what is happening. This Immigration problem is not new. We've been bringing the wrong types ever since we started bringing the Honkongnese, Russian rich, here starting in 1989. These people are now bringing in the rest of their non-working clan. Go to your chart of the LINK that you just posted for me see, and see the type of ...more
