The "private jet aviation boom shows no signs of slowing." Great for us shareholders, not so much for environmentalists. Here's how I see it.
Every industry has challenges. How the players deal with it is what's important. Take EV and Tesla for example. While EV gets a lot of love for being environmentally friendly, it actually relies on an electricity grid that is majority sourced by dirty coal fired plants. However, this situation will improve over time as more sustainable solutions are employed.
As an investor I balance the criticism with the knowledge that a leading innovator like BBD too, given the available technology, is making advances towards more sustainable solutions, which they are doing. This is progress. Imagine where we would be today if the Ford Model-T was forced out of production because it was environmentally more harmful compared to travelling by horse and buggy.
