500 regional jet parked in USA
While Bombardier is out of regional jet market its good to follow up and see if it was the right decision.
And it was. Had Bombardier not done that then we would still be in red from all the bleeding in regional division. Same would be true for dash 8 division.
Article has pay wall but the few sentences that can be seen sums it up.

The regional jets parked problem is because of a acute pilot shortage. I didn't know the problem was so bad. It's led to this, from a Nov 2022 Regional Airline Assoc press release: “We are on the precipice of a wholesale collapse of small community air service,” noted Black. “It has already begun, with 60 U.S. airports losing more than half their air service since 2019.

And that means at least a little more demand for biz jets like Bomber's, to partially replace the lost flights from the bigger planes. The only alternative for many of those former customers is to drive, which the PR points out is much more dangerous. I suppose an offset might be a pressure on biz jet pilots, too, but I don't know the state of that dynamic.
