as wiki said "  Canadair  was owned by the Canadian government and was suffering from the same post-war malaise as Electric Boat (now called General dynamics).  bought the company for $10 million in 1946 In 1976, General Dynamics sold Canadair to the Canadian Government for $38 million.[4]  in 1986 Canadair was acquired by  Bombardier .

and who knows how this will end if canadair was owned by Canadian gov then sold it to General dynamics then bought from General dynamics then bombardier Aquired it may be General Dynamics will end up buying Bombardier or part of it General Dynamics dynamics has the money , the knowledge and it is us company, so will be blessed byu us gov. question is if general dynamics make GulfStream
