Bombardier Inc. > Q2 & guidance: what do u guys think?

Q2 & guidance: what do u guys think?

I'm thinking:

--Delivery and service revenue should both be strong.

--Based on GD’s comments this week (1.27x aerospace book to bill, “even higher if you look at Gulfstream alone") and continued high bizjet traffic, likes b2b should be ok. Maybe even over 1.0.

--FCF, IDK, but given the above, prob fine.

--Guidance: strong commentary but unchanged numbers?

--Overall: things remain good. Demand for flights and new and refurbished planes remain strong, underscored by Airshare order here in Q3 (over-predicted recession still a mirage), defense order pipeline progressing, supply chain still has soft spots but still be managed adequately, nearing completion of new manufacturing facility.

Well, that was a nice way to end the week.  Can't wait to see what next thursday will bring. Here's what I'm expecting: Bigger numbers than planned from service, not huge but a moderate surprise, ... hence a bigger FCF b2b over 1.0 Guidance: they will keep this for the 3rd quarter because they always know by then how the 4th quarter will turn out with deliveries etc... MyName, I was beginning to think I was just about the only fundamental investor left here!   Ur expectations seem reasonable to me. Hopefully, some new investment $ gets attracted to the stock, seeing the steady progress in Bomba's turn-around.

Your'e not and nor am I.  There are quite a few but most have been quiet lately.  I guess it's that most of the ones I know of are 'seasoned' when it comes to Bombardier, altough we do not like li we do nt let the noise bother our long term view. Like you said, steady progress is the thing. Sometimes we just want the money right now and forget that real money takes time ...more

If macro doesn't get in the way, which it looks like it won't, the next couple years of steady progress should eventually get rewarded.  If it happens faster, great, but not relying on it.
