Trying to understand shorting
I have never shorted a stock. Never really attracted me. Seemed so negative. Experiencing glee when a stock drops whereas to me a drop in stock is loss to investors and possible layoffs for workers. Why would something so negative be a cause of glee. And I see the shorters who show up here on stockhouse that seem so deceitful and manipulative.
Anyway, I got to see a movie called DUMB MONEY about a guy investing in GameStop. At the end of the day, he made he made north of $40 million. The stock went from about $2 to almost $500 per share. It involved a short squeeze. The shorts had to buy back shares at higher and higher prices and the stock took off.
I really enjoyed the movie.
Have a great weekend

Hi BBDB859, Thanks for the encouragement. I agree and believe we are onto something really great with BBD as they continue taking care of business. The rest of the market has to catch up, and it will. By the way, I took your advice with the ignore button. All the best. Snowey

The market will catch. It's only a matter time now (2024) before the Institutions start to jump in. Then of course, they goble up every share they find cheap. Good for you on the Ignore. You won't waste your time or energy with these yutz's. If you notice the putz is still stinging, when people don't respond to him.
