How is this a risk or 'bad bews' to Bombardier if the Mirabel plant doesn't manufacture anything for Bombardier? The site produced landing gear for Airbus and Boeing commercial jets.

The Global 5000/6000 and Global Express main and nose landing gears have been tailored by Safran Landing Systems for Bombardier’s ultra long-range business jets. They are a single-source supply Bombardier Global family main and nose landing gears | Safran (safran-group.com)

Yes, and that's produced by Safran's Ajax, Ontario plant. The Mirabel, Quebec plant (the workforce of which is on strike) does not have anything to do with that. Unless the Ajax workforce takes any action, Bombardier is unaffected.

Great work Nordico. Sometimes people jump the gun too fast, and say the wrong things, without doing their homework.

I've only seen Bombardier mentionned in the Journal de Montreal article about Safran, others mostly mentionned Boeign and Airbus as possiblibly impacted by this. Le Journal de Montreal is a bit populist in its approach as usual and trashing Bombardier is widely appreciated among the majority of its readership. Everything is in everything... as we say in Quebec. GLTAL
