Ce dernier souligne le fait que les trains d'atterrissage fabriqus par Safran sont essentiels dans l'assemblage des avions d'Airbus, de Boeing et de Bombardier, notamment pour son fameux avion d'affaires Global 7500. Une longue grve pourrait alors avoir des consquences importantes.

Landing gear is one of the first components needed to assemble aircraft, as the whole airframe will sit and roll on the assembly line. For 2nd quarter, I would guess all Landing gears for Global 7500 were already delivered.  If the strike continues then this will impact 3rd quarter Global 7500 delivery. While a headache for bbd management, they can prioritize build on non Global 7500 jet

Very good post amigo.  I'll add that management as already stated that this year's deliveries were set to be wheighted heavily on the 3500 and the 7500 delivery rate would go back to normal next year. Much ado about nothing for this Safran strike, so far (of course), if you ask me.

have to see how long the strike lasts.  If its a week or 2 it won't affect anything.  after that, who knows I also want to know if the landing gear is made at other facilities unaffected by the strike.  Is it just the Montreal facility on strike and is the landing gear made at other companies besides Safran?
