Bombardier Inc. > Boeing Spirit not a easy deal

Boeing Spirit not a easy deal

From the article "Boeing is paying $4.3bn (£3.3bn) for its part of the deal whereas Spirit will pay Airbus $559m (£440.6m) reflecting the fact that the parts of the business Airbus is taking over are currently loss making".

If bombardier business at Spirit is loss making then bombardier too should get money to take on bombardier work from Spirit.

Airbus took a220 work and Boeing took  Boeing work.  This deal won't close until 2025 and Belfast union is not happy.  Belfast does bombardier work so it's between bombardier and AB to come to agreement.  If spirit was losing money on bombardier work, then bombardier should be paid to take it or let AB continue with contract and loss-making division.  AB will be financially penalized if they don't meet contract requirements.

Wow what a large MESS spirit is? IMHO, Bombardier shouldn't even entertain walking into that Belfast scenario again. Remember that the size of employees there is huge, to take on even half of the 3500 employees. Plus the pension liabilities, and the headache with the Irish unions there. Bombardier should know that first hand. Before agreeing to purchase even a portion (60%) of Belfast, I ...more

BBDB858  You are talking a lot of rubbish
Comment by BBDB859 on Jul 03, 2024 9:52am
Benual, I'm not sure why you're saying that? What post are you refering to? Is it a general rubish, or is it about the strike at Pearson that i made a mistake on? If you are referring to the Belfast fiasco? You have no idea about the financial problems Bombardier had there, at that A220 facility. Why do you think they wanted to sell the facility along with Morocco? They were money losing ...more

I,Am in sunny, Portugal at the moment, enjoying my Holidays. So  do not really want to respond to so much of your anti BELFAST rubbish. , you seem to want to write  a book about  Belfast Here are a few facts. It was not Belfast that designed the c series wing using a R.T .M process Which costs a lot of man hours to make. Belfast unions have never been on strike THEY ...more

Great we've learned something about Bellfast from you. Enjoy your trip in Portugal When you get back you can start posting some more, or more often, since you're so knowledgeable.  I don't agree with some parts of your posts, and I agree in some. Let us in on many more facts when you get back. I still don't think that we should take on such a huge workforce. Things have ...more

Comment by BBDB859 on Jul 03, 2024 11:55am
What this about? You're going to buy me a laptop? Safran and anyone else can buy it, and build the parts. I don't think we need profit losing companies. That's the problem with Ireland. C u when u get back.

After your comments about Ireland you are clearly a racist. This is why you have been going on about Belfast so much. I have worked in bombardier for more than 34 years and have forgotten more about this company than you will ever know. I am putting you on blocked .
Comment by bicente on Jul 03, 2024 2:58pm
Hello , he is not racist , trust me .. he is just upset with the bomber's mistakes in the past , like many of us too ... but that is all in the past , the skies are blue now ... GLTA

What's wrong with some of these people Bicente?? Now I'm a racist against the Irish. I go to Ireland every couple of years, it's a great place, and I have a ton of fun there. I'm just dumbfounded with all these guys. They have something to contribute and yet, they don't contribute. But they can critisize others without knowng anything about them. Perplexed

Thank you for putting me on ignore. I won't put you on ignore. You are very knowledgeable I may learn something from you. If you ever post. If you are so knowledgeable? Why didn't you ever post some of your knowledge here, mr. know-it-it-all. I never professed here to know everything or anything about Bombardier here that I hadn't learned to be true. I am just a numbers guy, and I ...more

Everyone can see what type of comments you keep on posting here ('View Bullboard History' is a nice tool).  If you think people think less of you because you said you worked at Bombardier, you're the clueless one.

People who work in bombardier would tend to have a lot more knowledge, what is going on in the company. Rather than people just guessing the price of the stock market moves.
Comment by Heyooo on Jul 03, 2024 2:55pm
The Belfast workforce working on your mentioned legacy bombardier aircraft are some of the most skilled you'l find, no money spent on processes or methods for years and the processes used to build them currently are stone age compared to most aircraft now, the workforce currently building them have found a way but trust me when I say you won't just be able to move this stuff anywhere at ...more

Well said Sir!!! Totally agree  Have seen all that you are saying over the years. One of the highest skilled forces in the aviation industry.  The Chinese (seemingly) tried to hack Their computers.TO GET BELFAST ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES.  Spirit did not a thing to improve it. Bombardier Will  buy Belfast !! At a good price.  This will guarantee their all important supplies.

This is what I'm talking about. Thank you Heyou for your post. Finally some decent discussions.  Short Bros has been around from I believe 1928. Every piece of equipment needs to change there, or else it's labour intensive. So machanize it will cost. Btw we can't buy all of Shorts, Airbus has the CSeries half. If Spirit is willing to give us or pay us $250M to $300M for the other ...more
