Yes FAR. Didn't you pay attention to what was happening in Montreal? I believe several contract offers were voted down even after its reccomended by the Union.
Comment by Inuk138 on Jul 02, 2024 1:44pm
The strike is almost over; the agreement will be ratified soon. Unifor has strongly recommended accepting the deal.
Comment by meagain on Jul 02, 2024 2:42pm
Unifor posted 76% NO VOTE #NoDeal
Comment by stock4life48 on Jul 02, 2024 2:04pm
what are the results of the vote at 10 am eastern? also do we know what wage increases/costs were agreed to?
Comment by meagain on Jul 02, 2024 2:11pm
Just heard from a friend that the vote was NO to the contract offer. If this is true I'd guess the company will make a statement once the Union officially notifies them? No clue how the ins and outs work.
Comment by Inuk138 on Jul 02, 2024 2:14pm
I guess they have all day to vote, and tomorrow we will get the results.
Comment by Jacques4444 on Jul 02, 2024 2:11pm
Here the highlight of the agreement settlement : Local 673 – Bombardier Highlights – 2024 – Unifor Local 673 It will probably count ounce and only when all the workers have right to vote (hr?). They can vote by internet to. When you look at the Unifor page site, click with your mouse on the buttom of the picture in page 1, then you can roll the 5 pages informations.   Local 673 ...more
Comment by meagain on Jul 02, 2024 2:22pm
As I understand it, 673 is a smaller local for some of the Technical and Professional positions in the office.  There is another Local that represents the Production workers.  That is a much larger group. If they have voted NO, that's all that matters. Where are the details on thier contract offer? Not that it matters LOL as The Devil is always in the details. LOL

BOMBARDIER STRIKE UPDATE July 2, 2024 Based on the 76% NO vote at the Bombardier ratification meeting today, the strike will continue. All members are required to continue with their assigned picket duty. Thank you for your continued support and solidarity. Updates will follow as they become available. In solidarity, Your Bargaining/Strike Committee
Comment by stock4life48 on Jul 02, 2024 4:25pm
and before you posted that, there was zero facts.  Now we have facts I wonder how long before BBD calls in strike breakers which are 100% legal in Ontario (another fact)
Comment by BBDB859 on Jul 02, 2024 4:32pm
I assumed that they would ratify the deal after reading Jacques post this morning. It was my mistake. Thanks for all your work on this topic guys. I just saw all the digging done on the on it in the thread. Thanks guys

At least click "Quote" so we know what you are replying to. Lol
Comment by meagain on Jul 02, 2024 4:38pm
I told you Unifor posted it. Don't be so lazy. You could have checked yourself. And where do all the LICENSED aircraft assemblers and such come from? Out of thin air I suppose? Many of those skilled positions outside of Bombardier are unionized too. You won't find the people willing to cross a picket line let alone having the required qualifications. Strike Breakers lol
Comment by stock4life48 on Jul 02, 2024 4:48pm
Don't be so lazy, I said it was legal for strike breakers in Ontario.  Don't like it - vote NDP then
Comment by meagain on Jul 02, 2024 5:15pm
You Mis-Read my post. I was referring to your reply regarding facts of the results. Nothing to do with Strike Breakers.  I said in a prior post Unifor posted it and not to be lazy as in you could have googled it yourself.
Comment by stock4life48 on Jul 02, 2024 6:08pm
I've been googling it all day, and the results were posted only 2 hours ago
Comment by meagain on Jul 02, 2024 6:47pm
Lmfao it was posted long before 2 hrs ago. But hey.. I give up and you win. Clearly you know more than I.
Comment by stock4life48 on Jul 02, 2024 7:25pm
