G700 delivery issues

Bombardier didn't have any major rework on their certification.  Looks like Gulfstream has their work cut out.

From thr ainonline article "Hagerty further pointed out, “If you travel to Savannah, it’s hard to miss the dozen or so G700s on the ramp near the air traffic control tower.” Many of those are missing horizontal stabilizers, which are being modified to meet FAA-mandated changes, according to Hagerty.

These things happen when you hurry sometimes, to compete with your competition. Boeing is the poster child now with the Max8 competing against the CSeries by hurrying up to bring it to stream. I'm sure we'll overtake Gulfstream in the next couple years in Revs as well. We've overtaken them already in production. Now if we can overtake them or even get close to them on the Military side ...more

I suggest you review GD's financials which breaks out Gulfstream's #s. they are blowing us away on revenue and profits even though they delivered less planes.  Specifically review their 2023 year end
Comment by BBDB859 on Jul 04, 2024 1:02pm
I can't right now. I've done it before. They're strong on the military side. They deliver fewer than us on the business jet side. Their profit from higher Revs, is on the military side which is what you're refering to. That's what I said on the post.

Gulfstream pure business jets and ZERO military 2023 #s:  111 delivery and revenues of $8.621 Bil (if you want military add ~$34 Bil, but this should be apples to apples so I won't) Bombardier 2023 everything including military, service and CPO:  138 deliveries and  revenues of $8.046 Bil We have a ton to learn from Gulfstream
Comment by BBDB859 on Jul 04, 2024 7:42pm
It's the opposite of what you're saying now, when it comes to Business jet aviation. We can't learn anything from them when it comes BJ aviation. While Bombardier was busy with the CSeries from 2013 to 2020, Gulfstream/GD were stealing the Business jets business from Bombardier, and the Bomber didn't have the finances from their money loosing divisions to do anything about it. Now, ...more

Ok Stock4, I'm back. I Looked at the statements for 2023 for GD. and then separately for Gulfstream. Here are the facts. I could only get 9 months for GD's financial for some reason for 2023. But that doesn't matter. GD is a huge company. Business Jets are a small part of their income. You'll get the drift with just 9 months of GD's financials. Here are some of GD's ...more

Show me a link that says BBD will do $9.2 Bil in 2024.  Here's a link that says between $8.4 and 8.6 Bil https://bombardier.com/en/media/news/bombardier-2023-results-set-new-highs-earnings-and-revenues-2024-guidance-reflects#:~:text=Bombardier%20anticipates%20delivering%20150%20to,and%20%248.6%20billion%20in%202024.     Sorry gave some wrong dates for Revs Bombardier.    2023 Revs $8B. 2024 Revs $8.7B (est) 2025 Revs $9.4B (est) 2026 Revs $10.1B (est)   First. You can't predict the future for 2025/6. Neither can the banks. But it's only logical when Revs are increasing for Services, and production increases, for the past 3 years by $700m to $800m for us. Then ...more

lots of conjecture with ZERO backup, you are the pest.  I read analyst reports and investment reports daily, YOU obviously don't hence why your numbers are just made up.  You refuse to provide back up to your numbers which just proves you make things up. and I am investor, I guarantee I have way more shares than you Good luck, but I invest on facts not some troll who posts drivel ...more

and Gulfstream expects to deliver 160+ planes this year, way more than us.  Wait I thought they couldn't deliver 120 planes? https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2024-04-24/gulfstream-deliveries-set-take-2024 You always pay close attention to our biggest competitor PERIOD
Comment by BBDB859 on Jul 04, 2024 11:10pm
I dont need to keep tabs on the # of BJ's that Gulf delivers, because they have a ton of military deliveries with the US government included in their totals, plus smaller planes. So their deliveries are skewed.  In fact so are their Revs, skewed yearly because of the military plane deliveries and services. What they expect, and what they will really deliver are 2 different things. The ...more

Stock4life48 - I like how you back up your claims with links which makes your projections very believable...also love your $188 target which you even show how you arrived at.  Damn nice work! And yes I recall bombardier saying they would hold the line at around 150 planes a year, might have gone to 155 but could be wrong.  I think they said that at investor day?
Comment by BBDB859 on Jul 05, 2024 1:04am
I just saw this disrespectful post of yours just now. It must have been because of your constent pestering with footnotes, and requests for back-upswhy I didn't see it. Plus it could have been the second scotch too. Please don't give us your predictions of ($188/share) on the share price. You don't have a clue about where the SP is going. Nobody here does. When do you think that that ...more

Johnney - look carefully and 95+% of his stats and claims are wrong,  Its important to always do your research and be careful listening to false info.  We aren't investing with monopoly money here What if I was to say BBD will have revenues of $18.2 Bil next year, EBITDA of $4.656 Bil, FCF of $3.2 Bil and EPS of $15.32.  Don't ask me for any back up thou (sarcasm) I ...more

I'l tell you what Stock4. Why don't you start posting about some of the things that I post on, and give us some really accurate numbers? I'm tired of doing this anyway, especially for ungrateful people like yourself. I should be out of half of my position in this stock in about a year anyway. The people here could use a new perspective. Deal????
Comment by stock4life48 on Jul 05, 2024 6:05pm
I am not ungrateful, I simply expect accurate numbers backed up by facts and figures from outside sources.  Happy to provide new info I maintain my EV/EBITDA ratio of 11x or $188 (you didn't like it, and that's fine).  We hit those numbers around  2011 or 2012 (I am on my phone and not near my notes)

If only 75% of what you say comes to fruition on this $188 share price (). I'll be very happy. What's your guess on the time frame? I won't hold you to it. I know it's only you prediction. Thanks

assuming everything is on track, there are zero surprises I would say 12-18 months and yes lets face it no one knows exactly where a price is going to be in a certain time.  those numbers are based on solid fundamentals being delivered and yes BBD management has never once lied to us in the 3-4 years since Martel took over.  RBC gives a max perfect price target of $259 btw.  I ...more

Thanks. I've done that already with my kids. I got then in up to this point for 7 years. They each have quite a few shares in their TFSA. Almost as much as your brother's investment for each one of them. Cheers

You're sure you want to end it there? Because that's good news. Now we can focuss on the Bombers achievents.  Knowing you though, you could also decide to go and check all my previous posts for SPELLING ERRORS there too. I'd welcome it because Stockhouse doesn't have a spell check option here yet? LOL
