Bombardier Inc. > Potential revenues 17 billion$

Potential revenues 17 billion$

Pure speculation on my part, could these potential revenues of $17 billion be linked to the meeting Martel had with Adani, head of the powerful Indian group, in September? I note that Honeywell's CEO is also from India.
Comment by Letsmakemoredol on Dec 02, 2024 9:00pm
the $17 Billion is potential revenue for Honeywell.  No idea what BBD's potential revenue from the agreement is unknown as for your comment. all due respect but I mean come on just because the Honeywell CEO was born in India and the Adani CEO is from India.  Thats like an American saying "Hey you're from Canada, do you know Bob?"

See what I mean Lets. This company just does a monumental deal for their company, yet they haven't even made any details available to their shareholders. Their PR is garbage
Comment by BBDB859 on Dec 02, 2024 9:35pm
The only thing I can hope for is, is that they haven't f/ed this deal up either. They had $500M coming from Honeywell easy. I hope they haven't sold the farm to Honeywell with this. There is an old saying that goes. They owed us money. But in the midst of negotiations, not only did we not get our money back from them, but they ended up taking even more money from us. I don't want to ...more

859, I am not disagreeing, but the news came late in the day today so I am hoping they will shed some light on potenial long term positives for BBD tomorrow and even hopefully how much cash the company will receive.  I am hoping the cash goes straight on the long term debt. We need some news to take the focus away from Trump and the tariffs.  I am feeling more and more positive that it ...more

859, lLet's- Bombardier just mentioned the deal and that the terms of the settlement will not be disclosed. We'll see what comes out tomorrow, be it from analysts or reporters..or the market

Of course. This is the regular way these guys do business. Who wants the Shareholders to analyze the deal? The truth is usually in the details. Here we go again with this outfit.  One good thing though. Honeywell has given us a very good idea, when they took a hit on their revised Balance sheet today. The same way that we took a hit in Q3/24 with the NY Bondholders settlement. I estimated ...more

Relax guys!! You cant praise BBD mgt team one day...and demonize them a few days later! These are the same guys who have been fighting this American  Honeywell for over one year.   They deserve our confidence...even if it doesn't weight much... And why not keep the best for the next Q4 / year end review in Feb 2025? What a great antidote toTrump's shenanigans ! GLTA

Hey Ralph I'm with you buddy. I just can't stand anymore slip-ups. It's just that whenever we're doing good there is always something. This not giving information to shareholders on such an important agreement, is not good PR. Not getting any information when we needed it, makes people think of many bad things. Not knowing is worse sometimes.
Comment by Letsmakemoredol on Dec 03, 2024 9:45am
Raph, I don't think anyone is demonizing BBD management, I just think some of us are a little"upset" that the Honeywell deal is confidential.  It would be nice to know how the deal benefits BBD in the short term (cash settlement) and long term (the partnership).  Honeywell provided a lot of details, but why hasn't Bombardier
Comment by Levieillard on Dec 03, 2024 7:34am
859, calmdown and stop insulting the PR people when you just don't know how things work. Confidential.Simple word, no? These kind of agreements are always confidential and no one never knows the details of them. Never. It is not a PR thing, it's a legal thing. And Honeywell just said general things in order to save their image. They didn't really said what the deal was. They tried to ...more

Hi Levie. I don't know who you are. I've never seen your handle here on this board in the last 8 years. If you don't know me. I'll acquaint you a little on who I am, and then you can just quickly let me in, on who you are. This would be apreciated so I don't throw any needless insults your way.  I'm invested heavily in this company for 8 years now. So. 1) Do you ...more

1) I have over 2000 shares. 2) I read this forum but I would never follow your opinions because they are driven by your emotions and that is a damn good way to lose money. 3 The first time I bought Bombardier was 38 years ago. For an individual investor, I think I know the company but I don't have the tools and inside analysts have. I try not to make any fictional scenario and not to go too ...more

Hi Levie. If I only had 2,000 shares I would have sold and left a long time ago. Let me put it to you this way. You see I'm a person who has business ethics and also morals. I don't want to get over-invest in one of my stocks.  And I can't stand lies and Ommitions. Ommitions are lies too, in my book. But that's how they do business. I had to average down about 10 times not ...more

I'm trying to get to the right plateau. That # is enticing, for half of the shares. I think $150 is a better # though. If we can ever get there? I'm in no rush. I just want to be kept informed with transactions from this outfit. This $400M could have paid down a lot of LTD.
Comment by BBDB859 on Dec 02, 2024 10:10pm
Ya. You know what? I'm not opposed to a USA facility. But they should stay in Witchita, where they have land, or find some extra land. They also have the old Learjet facility and the emloyees there from Spirit Aerostructures. Boeing have lots of facilities there also. So maybe pluck some out of both of them. So there will be plenty of employees to pick from that they've layed off too. I ...more

859, I really don't care where in the plant could be located nor do I know if BBD already owns land to expand onto in Witchita.  Obviously if they do that would make complete sense and as you point out Witchita is a aerospace manufacturing hub with Boeing and Spirit having plants there I would have no idea what a plant would cost to replace Belfast would cost, but I will take a guess at ...more
Comment by BBDB859 on Dec 03, 2024 9:52am
Ya I get it. A plant in the US is a smart idea, but it's capapcity we already have here in Canada. So to invest even $200M for that? I don't know if it would be such a good investment. The Trump nightmare will disipate by 2028 I'm sure.
Comment by BBDB859 on Dec 02, 2024 9:08pm
Hey Papi. Anything is possible. This agreement announced today is very vague. So, I hope that tomorrow the cat will come out of the bag on the collaboration. Just on the surface though. This is a landmark, or more in the monumental agreement range for both of the companies.. Another words this is huge, if the contract was done right?
Comment by Tempo1 on Dec 03, 2024 10:17am
Back on the 400 M$: My humble comment. I'm perplex. I believe that the rule is:  they have to publish any material changes to the forecast. A 400M$ is material for sure. Otherwise the insiders would have undue advantages. Honeywell did. So, if there no disclosure, there no material change on the Bombardier side.  Is Honeywell writes provisions for the future discounts ? It is ...more

Hi Temp. All good questions to which we don't have answers. Your concluding point about them not disclosing any material changes is right. They probably got it all in credits to future purchases. This though limits them, to buying HON products only??? It even gives HON the Bomber business for that credit. Not only that, but they also have to participate in this  HON expensive  ...more
Comment by Letsmakemoredol on Dec 03, 2024 3:42pm
859, if that were true then the cost to honeywell would be spread out over a long time, instead they are taking an immediate hit of 500M to FCF
Comment by BBDB859 on Dec 03, 2024 4:25pm
Honestly Lets. I thought the same thing. Thanks for verifying this. Why can't they not spread out the investment, rather than take the hit immediatly. There could be an explanation that, we are getting the cash equivalent either way, and it's been put towards the JV. That Bombardier wants that cash to be held "in trust" to pay for the JV responsibilities or cash calls. That is a ...more
