Why doesn't the USA close its own border ??? Because their scum need the drugs , that are coming from the cartels in the south ... imagine placing  tariffs on its best/ most important  trading partner , it doesn't get funnier than that .. this is the best time to show how united we are , shut down all deliveries and find a way to live without their money ,cancel  all visits ...more

Unfortunately, that is very short sighted thinking. If the US wanted to they could shut us down tomorrow. This site would be shuttered, look at what happened to TikTok, shuttered like a light bulb then turned back on again. Imagine all our devices going dark. We can live on hockey for so long, but how far can a league go that is just Canadian teams. Look at the joke CFL as an example. We have 9 ...more

That's essentially what's happening and the Americans are too dumb to notice, while he is fleecing them. He is appealing to their vulnerabilty of border security, while creating HAVOC/CHAOS with the stock markets and money markets.Let me put it to you this way. That's not going to happen Comquat. 25% will hurt the 2 countries. The Tarrif to Canada will be escalated from something small of say 5% in the begining and slowly escalated.

IMO, CANADIAN GOV are smarter than many think they can AS A START stop importing american Alcool, whisky, borbon, wine etc and remove what is already in stores from the shalves across the country, no imports, no sales no tariff, they can do the same with american ketchup, penut butter, orange juice, etc same with any manifactureD products OFF THE SHELVES NOT TO BE IMPORTED OR SOLD IN CANADA  ...more

These things take time Sham. By the time we figure out how to attack Trump. We will have sold our Bombardier shares. So we won't be preocuppied with him. Plus he'll leave office. He only has 4 years.

Maybe I'm making a mistake but I believe that considering that the USMCA is due to be renegotiated in 2026, Canada and the USA will agree to move forward these negotiations. Why not agree to postpone these prices to a later date only if the new negotiation fails. This way, Donald saves face and Canada avoids tariffs. I would not be surprised if we were informed that this new approach is ...more

Hey White I think that Trump put in the 2016 negotiated USMCA, a condition that, if there was an EMERGENCY at their US border, during the duration of the USMC Agreement (2026), then they could close their borders, or put on Tarrifs. I haven't read the USMCA, but I bet there is a similar condition in the Agreement. That's why you have to have smart people negotiating for you. Bombardier ...more

859, we sort of discussed this a few days ago on the board, and while I am not a lawyer, its very difficult to get financial damages for breaches of the USMCA for example.  If he puts tariffs on Canada on Feb 1, that is a direct violation of USMCA so I would think we should be able to sue for financial damages.  If the US isn't liabile for Trillions in damages, then he has nothing to ...more

On The National news tonight They kind of confirm my point, Donald want to renegotiate the USMCA agreement now. That is why he is maintaining his treath to impose tarifs now in order to force the Canadian government to agree knowing how weak we are now. WW2
