Yeah or to lose it.  LOL Most divi investors are aware of the subtraction of the dividend value from the balance sheet and hence the stock price on the ex-div day.  But if you look at the last two quarters BCE has paid out that $1 a share (.998) and is now trading a full $2 dollars higher so plenty of room for the divi drop while paying out another $1/share making it $2 for the full 2 ...more

Or it could this.  Nice of them to wait until after ex-div in order to get the maiximum torque to the share price upside and catch the divy traders napping and just before the FED announces rate cuts to signal incentive boosts to the economy.  Should just keep going up.  Looking for gaps to fill....soon. GLTA
