December 16th - next Ex-Dividend Date for the $1.00 Dividend

All the action between now and then will be postioning for the dividend. Don't let the algorithyms cheat you out of your dividend.

was thinking of starting a positon, but there could be significant tax loss selling..

IMHO, there will be. BCE shares will probably stabilze around here, give or take a few quarters, but tax loss season will increase right after ex dividend day.   So if you buy it here at $38 ish for the $1 dividend and the shares fall to $36 or less next month, what have you really achieved? GL
