Who cares about BCE !

Look at the futures for tomorrow. My portfolio of 25 dividend  stocks already lost 6 % . So for tomorrow when markets open  get your running shoes ready. We are going to be running to the hills.
Expecting TSX to drop another 5%

I am sure many people on here will notice that BCE was their only stock in the "green" today. Either way...the general markets here need a strong pullback as the valuations are very stretched.  An additional 5 to 8 percent dip would be nice. Nice for those of us holding cash.

Notice that BCE touched $33.02 today. I have seen traders do this before while walking a stock down. That strategy would see them try hard tomorrow morning to break $30.00 Hope that is not the case here, but would not be at all surprised nor happy to see it.

I didn't get a fill today on my buy order at $32.99  CAD, and that's a good thing.  GLTA.

Correction, I meant they will try to break support at $33.00 today. Let's see if the bid holds!

Professional traders using the latest and greatest tools designed to squeeze every drop in a volatile situation such as BCE is in now.  They are not stupid

Davesnothere...no way the 33 holds. I see 29 as the low in the new year.
Comment by Davesnothere on Dec 19, 2024 3:26pm
1condor, if that's the case , then i hope you will have a pot of cash ready to deploy. I am tapped out.

Davesnothere...I see 29 bucks as being the worse case scenario...to get there would be the result of a divvy cut (something that I am leaning towards as possible). I will have some bucks on hand in case this scenario comes about. If one believe no divvy cut is coming then buying at todays level in the low 30's will turn out to have been a very good move. This is just my opinion of course.

I see 25$ if they cut the dividend.  My opinion... and yes I think they will...

Even If I had a cash I wouldn't buy anything till whole bullshit settles down ( Ottawa, tarrifs etc) . USA is very lucky with their economic  expansion . EU is screwed up just like Canada politically and economically. EU is experiencing high energy prices since Ukrainian-Russian war , undermining economic growth . In Canada we don't have this problem but we have Trudeau. lol. Nowhere ...more

Powell suggested only  two rate cuts next year. Maybe he is counting on some tariffs on both sides which will trigger higher inflation. I think Trump will impose some tariffs on Canada  but I don't think it will be 25%.  Tanking Can $ is good news for BCE since they expanded to USA .A part of  BCE's revenue from Trump's happy nation will come in US $ .
