This company need to cut their divvy...unless you are all happy seeing the shareprice drop day after day. Its inevitable now they will...just a matter of time...and the sooner the better.

When they cut their dividend the stock will be down by 10%-15% at least.

market2025...they will cut the divvy...it is not sustainable. The market knows this which explains the bigger hit that BCE is taking over the other telcos. I still think this one gets in upper 20's before we see a reversal. So many on here thought the year end weakness was the result of tax loss selling but now we know differently....its all about the divvy.

You are correct. The problem is NOT unique to BCE. It is an industry problem and the decline has been going on for nearly three years. Anyone should take a few minutes and have a good look at the three year charts for Bell, Telus and Rogers. While Canadian consumers may have benefited from lower costs ordered by the government, shareholders have paid dearly for that competition.

market2025...I am not short BCE but of course in hindsight should have. One big issue I do see is the elevated divvy which is flashing more red than a North Korean military parade. This will have to be addressed before the stock can recover. Until then its a continued downward slide (below 30).

All shorters here at BCE have to do is yell "Dividend cut" and they quickly make lots of money.
