It's no secret, funds and retail investors own BCE for the dividend. 

CEO has said he won't cut the div this year so there's no reason to believe he will but there are rumours that BCE might cut next year. 

And you know the saying, where's there's smoke there's fire. 

We'll know better in 3 weeks with their earnings release.

Rumours, wow we will go far with this good info ha ha ha. If you got this from IA we are all good... most of the people here are in the red big time... so dividend is the only reason why they are staying for now. change the mgmnt, present a new strategic plan to investor... just taking the money from cell phone with this stupid price war is definitely not the best approach. I'm not talking about rumours on the street, or from some chat websites. If you read some analysts or speak to some advisers they'll all say the same thing, and that is that The divi is in danger of getting cut next year.  You don't have to believe me, but dyodd (as u say)  and see for yourself.  GL

Hey RIXPIX__Just ALWAYS Keep IN MIND that It IS the Actual CASH COST of the  Dividends that MATTERS eh. I AM SURE that a LOT of Investors ARE TAKING Their Dividend VIA a DRIP EVERY DRIP Share TAKEN is THAT Much LESS CASH OUTLAY for BCE

This isn't MFC that took 14 years to recover to an old SP after they cut their dividend during the Financial Crash.I own BCE , not alot but there is no way they will ever cut their dividend .They would declare bankruptcy first.
