BCE did not go into debt in order to provide a Dividend. The Debt is due to growth on their networks and other non-core assets they purchased, which they are now selling. The dividend is safe.  Let them cut costs as BCE has lots of fat, and they have assets which aren't providing the cash flow expected.  They are sold, just awaiting CRTC acceptance.
