Bell and MacLean work on next generation of driving

This news report reminds me something about self driving. It will be heavily depending on the availability and the speed of cell phone network 5G/6G and so on . This means the driver will have to subscribe to these services on the regular highway or mining site. Telco will be fighting for this new greenfield. I agree with Dean's analysis on the cell phone user but I believe there are new frontier that telco can expand their business.
