BEI lurkers looking for Alberta exposure with income

Gamehost has a 2-decade history of paying generous dividends pre-covid.

With omicron wave now rolling over aggressively, I believe GH is positioned to start paying its dividend within 9 months.

Buy shares now below $8 and thank me a year from now when they are $10.

Here's a recent comment from Acumen Capital's analyst:

Globe says Gamehost one of Acumen's "Dark Horse Picks"

2022-01-18 08:11 ET - In the News

The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday edition that Gamehost ($7.26) is one of Acumen Capital's top five 2022 "Dark Horse Picks."

The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Acumen says the list was built from a "collection of names that have either lost a surprising amount of investor conviction or remain under the radar." Acumen says Gamehost "could surprise to the upside in 2022." Acumen gave Gamehost a "buy" recommendation and an $11 share target, matching the consensus. Acumen says in a note, "On the back of proactive steps taken during the pandemic to improve the business coupled with a booming Alberta economy we believe Gamehost is well positioned for strong free cash flow generation and the re-establishment of the dividend in 2022." The Globe reported on March 19, 2020, that Acumen analyst Trevor Reynolds had lowered his rating for Gamehost to "hold" from "buy," in reaction to the temporary closure of its three casinos in Alberta and suspension of its dividend due to the impact of COVID-19. In the item Mr. Reynolds cut his share target to $6.50 from $10, which was then the current consensus. Gamehost shares were then going for $3.19.

Tangible book value 37.4 mil, market cap 201 mil How hard is it to build a casino?  That's their 'moat'?

talking to the GH pumper.  That stock might do ok for a while as everything reopens and results are good, but sometime down the road that TVB/Market cap issue can come back to bite them hard.

LOL Gamehost announces dividend back.  Company positioned to double its dividend over next 3yrs. Am I pumping?   Suggested it was a buy at $6 and now almost $9 plus starts paying dividends. No need to pump, they are doing all the right things and stock is rightfully rallying. Alberta going to see a mega boom over next 4yrs. https://stockhouse.com/news/press-releases/2022/03/08 ...more

GOOG's BV/sh is $380 Stock price is $2,700 Does that mean I should not buy GOOG at $2,700? My target price for Google is north of $4,000 and book value has zero impact on my decision to own it.  You can choose different methods to value a business, book value is just one of them. I would recommend EV/EBITDA or Cash flow or net earnings or NAV or a combination of them all or some. --- ...more
