TD Securities' Jonathan Kelcher raised his target for Boardwalk REIT to $82 from $80 with a Buy rating. The average is $75.45.

“Looking ahead, we anticipate consistently strong fundamentals over our forecast period. Despite having the best AFFO CAGR among its Canada-focused apartment peers, Boardwalk is only trading roughly in line with its peers on an AFFO-multiple basis. In prior periods where Boardwalk had above-average growth, it has traded at premiums,” said Mr. Kelcher.

Somebody call Autofocus321, make sure he's still breathing.  This $82 price target might have been too much for the poor guy.   He was complaining the shares would never reach $59.

I got to liking risk/reward of PPL and WTE.   Moved rest of BEI to each co in Oct. WTE absurdly discounted when one of the firms downgraded it, might have been RBC. Whadda ya know. Here it is again at 70 and two days in a row closed above it. Triple Top at the same high hit way back in late 2014. What a circus. Third time's a charm for a push to new highs or another failed attempt ahead? Looking at a rising channel from the Jun 2022 low, I will sell if it drops below 67 this month. Upside is 75/80 by March at the center/upper range of the channel. That ...more

From a business standpoint, BEI looking pretty smart today $150mm and buying in Calgary. Gonna be good.

I thought their plan was to diversify out of AB since most of their doors are already there. Anyone from Calgary know where this building is? An internet search of "The Circle" Calgary apartment building turns out nothing.

They have been diversifying asset base out of province but my guess is that they have decades of expertise in AB/SK, so they keep swining at pitches in their wheelhouse.   Singles, doubles and a few triples.   Very productive.   Can't complain. If it's working, keep doing it. Compare BEI to any other CDN-based REIT, probably top 3; maybe #1 countrywide since ...more

In SE Calgary near South Health Centre. I believe they will be 1 and 2 bedroom large apartments. Good price at $261k a door for new units, as construction prices continue to rise.
