I strongly believe  we may hear a bought out statement by Tourmaline or some one else very soon, otherwise with unhedged positions this must have been trading much above 10 dollars.

I tend to agree Shenty, something is amiss with regards to Birchcliff. Nat gas trading nicely over $4.50, unhedged and paying down debt. Wouldn't surprise me to see an offer sooner rather then later. Regardless I added more this morning.

I can't imagine what BIR trades at this fall if gas is $4.50 and it's that close to being debt free. I'm not convinced on a buyout unless it's all stock from who ever the buyer is. My understanding is if it's an all stock transaction we don't pay tax until you sell what ever stock you end up with from the acquirer. I'm thinking Jeff wants to see this thru as he's so ...more
