Laughable at best! Building a gas line and an export facility shouldn't take long! What a joke by the time that happens we won't need gas anymore! Maybe just maybe more egress to the USA so they can ship it. Not a chance in hell Canada will get this done in the next ten years even if it was given the green light.

Our government spokespeople are manipulative and deceitful and show a mind numbing ignorance of the energy industry.  The O & G companies have been brutelized through the Liberal elites vilifying and obstructing them at every turn.  They are not interested in what the government wants any more. Well said checkup.  There are many Cdns who would agree with you however they are voices in the wilderness as JT and his liberal idealogues have dominated the political debate with their green agenda.  So much ignorance and lack of  critical thinking has led to the situation we are presently in.   They keep forgetting in their haste to get rid of fossil fuels that it takes ...more

A simple idea for our government would be to encourage greater production of ammonia which could be shipped either to Europe or Asia. The ammonia can be burned in either coal plants or nat gas fired power plants , or simply used to replace supplies that would otherwise need to be produced from much higher off-shore gas prices. Later, if necessary , CCS could be added to the Ammonia facilities ...more
