Furthermore, wilh the recent drop in price Natural gas is now priced a lot
cheaper than any US coal that can be produced east of the Mississippi.
Illinois basin and Central Appalachia coal is still ~$8/mmbtu. And there is
pressure to export that coal since ocean bound coal prices are
still at least double those in the US. IMO Coal prices will have to drop quite
a bit for these lower gas prices to stick.
