I do not agree with Eric

First I might be at least 20yrs older or more than Eric.I was investing in oil and gas before he was born likely.I fully agree with Jeff who understands that low prices result in production cuts. The supply demand cycle sets prices  to extreme highs and lows like we are seeing today. If eric was a wise investor (aka like Warren Buffett) He would depart his tunnel vision for oil only and flip his oil profits to gas at the bottom of the cycle.Buffett bought $50 billion last yr of Chevron and Oxy.They both produce oil and gas.Eric runs a $70 million fund.I will apply my Buffett learnings and buy BIR at its current 1 times book value at the bottom of the gas cycle with no debt and a 9.5% div.My thinking is Jeff is going to pay the div of 80 cents like he declared.I also predict the NG price will sharply rebound during hot summer months that are just around the corner.Until then I will keep applying the Buffett moto "be scared when others are greedy, and greedy when others are scared" Eric is too scared of gas now but not me!

Yes yes and yes !!!  Now factor in a 7 to 10 year bull market for Energy and you and Warren will be fine . Warren knows and Eric knows what Trudeau doesn't know , Oil And Gas is here to stay !

Eric is a shameless promoter of companies he has already purchased.  He is a classic "talking my book" guy.  I believe his call on NG is dead wrong.  He should be buying Canadian NG producers that also have sizeable liquids production - like Birchcliff.

He is indeed a shameless promoter , the weather around the world has been unseasonally warm so far  this winter so does this mean we have an extremely hot summer nobody knows  . i'm staying and adding while collecting my 9% dividend .

Always good to have an open mind and plan accordingly the short term has been looking dodgy for awhile and may give another Spectacular entry to Bir and othe4 gassers. Thx to Jeff for putting Bir in an excellent debt position (almost zero) still wish the divi was half of what they went to for now with an increase next Xmas. Let's see how the market deals with unhedged vs hedged over the next ...more
