It's quite common actually and has been going on for years.  It's how the rich get richer by helping to drive share prices to rediculous heights while selling a story of masive growh potential to get the largely uniformed and easily duped retail investors to pile into a stock in the hopes of getting rich quick.  And when the rich think enough retail sheep have arrived they

It never crossed my mind to invest in companies like Ballard. Over the years I have learned never to invest in companies that don't make any money and pay a respectable dividend. To me - There is only one thing that dictates where a stock will go: earnings. The rest are just empty promises and BS.

And right on que as I previously posted, the PLUG Power beat down continues, $2.33 US right now, the vultures are circling waiting to see who will step up to provide $1 Billion in financing.  I looked at PLUG stock a few months ago and almost bought some, thank God I didn't.  Looks like PLUG is taking down other fuel cell stocks with it.  Ballard getting a beat down as well
