the group is sitting on too much real estate and getting creamed by rising interest rates.

These hedge fund structures load up the subsidiaries with too much debt while scooping huge management fees. Works well till the markets flip and as usual public shareholders and debt holders are left holding the bag

But Bruce says buy?!  Who do I believe? Flipped the coin and going with the guy on stockhouse since 2018. Screw the over 20 year Brookfield track record.

Lots of debt lots of real estate..defaults by LPs on a few buildings ...here we are below three year ago valuation
