Sale of WFG Shares

07:03 AM EST, 03/01/2021 (MT Newswires) -- Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (BAM.A-TO, BAM) reported Friday that between February 17 - 26, 2021 Brookfield, including certain of its controlled affiliates, had disposed of 2.66 million common shares in the capital of West Fraser Timber (WFG.TO, WFG) on the Toronto Stock Exchange in open market sales for aggregate cash consideration of $229.5 million, at prices between $83.00 and $91.51 per West Fraser share.

Following the transactions, Brookfield now holds an aggregate of 20.8 million West Fraser shares, approximately 17.2% of the issued and outstanding stock, a decrease of approximately 2.2%.

Price: 51.40, Change: -1.07, Percent Change: -2.04

Maybe they can use that cash and buyback their shares which according to them is worth $66USD.   Maybe it's time for a leadership change.

I'm sure this gain of these shares will just wind up in the pocket of the Executives. How about increasing the dividend at a meaningful amount? oh right, that would mean normal shareholders who bought stock could actually get more of the profits in cash. Mark Carney should take the reigns of this company. Introduce better governance. in fact, if the dual class shares were all ...more
