Lol. Well if I bought more BNE it would definitely be averaging down! Usually a loser move for me although it worked out veryvwell in 2020 and 2021.  will buy a little BNE in some accounts. Headwater is probably the company to buy Spur Petroleum and they will need alot of cash to do it. I don't think TVE has the cash to buy Spur, Spur will take alot of money. If energy prices take a downturn in the cycle which I think we will see happening, should be more mergers coming.  Sellers prices have to come down and downturns force people to adjust and realign. The problem for TVE is Headwater.  Fairly obvious and likley headwater was bidding TVE up to get the Deltastream assets.  It will take years for TVE to make their money back. Both BTE and TVE are taking a long term approach in having assets that can be drilled with low oil prices. That is biggest issue with Cardium right now. If oil falls to 60-65...is cardium even drillable? (serious

Both TVE and BTE may have been better off waiting to do takeovers this fall. Time will tell. What do you think BNE best option in Cardium is? try buy somone to get to 20K boe?

Bonterra is in no position to buy anything but are a very good target right now. Enterprise value at about 27,000 per flowing barrel. Easy for a stock for stock acquisition because  share count so low. Wcp could easily get them for 1 for 1 stock change as could Obe although they probably lost interest. Bne could not possibly buy someone because stock price is horrible and debt still too heavy
