Post on gas storage from HFI Research

Early days but gas injections have been consistently lower than forecast due to weather and lower production. The South Central gas storage is starting to look tight.

Consumption is running about 1.5 bcf/d above demand. It is early but maybe some green shoots in the gas market?

The way drilling rigs have been idled as well as a low DUC inventory, both oil and gas look poised for a bit of a run.

Already has frozen last week on my farm near of Red Deer.  Aug 20 Early AM was -1C...  Look at the electricity market in AB Kav. It's out to lunch. 1-2 yrs ago it was .075c kw/h. Now I'm hearing .30 kw/h that's 4x in less than 24 months. Look at PEY saying they expect to get $10/GJ at Cascade. To me, if this is anything in the NG markets it's the bottom.

Another 15 bcf is coming over 2 years now too.  Gas producers will be in such a better position shortly.  capacity to sip to Chicago, Toronto, expansion of capacity to Washington and California, record demand in the ...more
