Obe for same 'bailout" so too speak from Russia war pumping oil and ng prices up...I mean it brought average oil price in 2022 to 122 cad and 5.88 for Obe average priced recieved..these prices helped allow them to cf 474
obe had serious debt back in 2020 

oil is down to 85 cad right now. Actually isn't bad for some of good oil plays.

but difference between 85 and 105 cad per barrel would mean a ton on new cardium drills.

all depends if 85 range last for 365 days.

The proposed deal in 2020 was pressured by the banking consortiums of both entities who were essentially the same banks. They pressured OBE to go for that deal to stabilize their credit risk. In subsequent conversations with OBE management has indicated zero interest in Bne even though they have quadrupled relative to the BNE takeover offer. A lot of bad blood was created between the 2 companies ...more

Stephen running into same problem BNE will...new growth area is not being recognized as mixed in with older field.  OBE peace river assets are not priced like headwater or others in peace river due to owning cardium.  Cardium is worth a lower mutiple by market. Lower oil prices will force more cooperation by all of those cardium companies. IPO, OBE, YGR, BNE etc are all facing market ...more
