Nationalization of BNK assets on the way ?
In a statement the government said it reserved
"all of its options and is aware of its obligation to preserve the long-term integrity of its treasured national asset"
"the natural resources of Albania are the patrimony of the people and should not be mismanaged or used as threats against the nation"
This look like some kind of the beginning of a nationalization. Pretty scary...
Should our asset be nationalized, can we can get back some money or shareholders are left with nothing ?
In argentina Kirchner nationalized a foreign private oil company 2 years ago. The gov bought the company at a massive discount. I hope the same will not happen to us.

That is really scary. Shouldn't the Canadian government take any action to sort things out?

There will be no nationaliatization. Albania has signed an investor protection agreement with Canada. https://canadaalbaniabusinesscouncil.ca/index.php?/site/flash_news/november_27_2013_-_tirex_supports_canada_and_albania_foreign_investor_prote https://www.international.gc.ca/trade-agreements-accords-commerciaux/agr-acc/fipa-apie/fipa-apie.aspx?lang=eng

I dunno. It doesn't look much like that's worked out well for TIREX. Investors have been fleeing that stock since the beginning practically. It's on it's wat to BK
