Could another party bid??

Shell only possibility IMO. Good action today.

Mr Big, on what basis do you hint or conclude that Shell is the only possible buyer? What makes you think that they'd even be interested? What commonality or synergies could possibly come of this hypothetical marriage...and don't say oil. This must be just tongue in cheek talk, because there's none of those between the two.

The Mgmt Circular states it clearly that BNK approached all "logical parties" and GEO's offer was the better one. Whatever party is left, is "ILLOGICAL":)

Do ya think they might have invited the Shell folks over for a brunch to have a chat? Seems like the dung pile wants to believe that Shell is going to reconsider. Fat chance!!! I'm sure they even invited our old friend Taci out for an espresso at the very least!

I am not sure how you can be so sure. Perhaps Shell's metrics have changed now that the oil price has changed. Perhaps Shell was investigating when price of oil was $26-30 and there was not much sign of recovery and decided to limit any expenses to the max but now that oil looks to have some legs, maybe they have re-evaluated their metrics and have allocated more money for acquisitions. I'm sure because I've done my HW. BNK is a heavy oil deposit and a complex one at that!!! This oil deposit only works If one has a long view and is taking lessons from the Marinza. If Shell was interested, given their proximity, I'm pretty sure they would have received a call. None of these long life complex plays gets a bid unless there's a long view. They aren't looking for a ...more

Clearly you are a long timer here and I value your knowledge and experience with this company although you can be a bit rough. For full disclosure, I am new to this company since I saw the takeover offer of $2.20 and the SP sitting at $1.75. So I have been buying pretty much weekly. Typically I am a long term holder but this seemed to be pretty straight forward. As a latecomer, I am happy with 20% ...more

If you are new then how could you come to the conclusion that Shell or anyone else could, should or might be a suitor? Is it just your naive conclusion without an ounce of support with the slightest effort beyond some fantasy you conjured up whilst having a dump? Really? Buying weekly huh? Fk me, I'm impressed! Did you go without lunch that week? Bummer! What the eff is long term for you? Week ...more

Lol. Did you even read what I wrote or was the steam coming out of your ears clouding your vision? My point was that you are spewing the thesis that Shell might reconsider given that oil price is higher now. There's no way that Shell will do this. It makes no sense. If you have some metric that suggests that this might make sense then I'd suggest you share your thesis rather than just throw out garbage. That was my point. I'm an a$$hole in your mind because I challenge you to higher ...more

Like I said, I acknowledge your experience and knowledge with respect to this company and do not argue that you don't know what you are talking about. My first post was a simple question to you. You are an a$$hole not because I disagree with you (not in reality but in your mind) and you challenge me but because of the way you interact with people.
Comment by braincloud on Apr 22, 2016 9:44am
It was a question. You and Mr. Big suggested that Shell could/should/might make a bid because the price of oil has moved higher. I asked you to support that argument. You didn't because you can't. Interact? Hmmm, everytime I challenge one you roaches, wood bugs and dung beetles you come back like I hurt your feelings. I would have a greater respect for any one of you insects if you just ...more

Original. For someone who just lost his shirt on a company that you have investigated intensively and seem to spend day and night pondering on, you are one to talk about anyone's losses on any company. I thought you would be an expert on how to spell "lose". Lol

Ha, a response.! Couldn't come up with a thesis as I suspected. Took the bait on the critique on PRE instead. Yes, I lost a few bucks on this trade. I can afford to and I will have a nice war chest when I tender my stock, you'll still have a few weeks of lunch money.. LOL Off the the sheit pile with the rest of the dung beetles with you LMAO MORON! For all you guys that doubt my word go to ...more
