I think this is postive news, but the article does not mention lifting the restrictions on dividend increases or the resumption of buybacks.  I did a quick search and couldn't find anything to suggest that dividend and buyback restrictions are included in this announcement. I think it's reasonable to assume that the big five banks and the big insurers will raise dividends at the ...more
