Brookfield Group Stock Prices

Hi there,

Today was a solid day for all the Brookfield Group companies (BN, BNRE, BAM, BIP, BBU and BEP)....I feel like it has been a while since we have seen all the stocks lift together in a single day.

Good afternoon. It depends where you look within the Brookfield empire. SPB (largely controlled by Brookfield through their preferred shares) has been going down for several months, trading at their lowest level in three years. BRE (controlled by BK) is also trading near its lowest level in three years despite a dividend yield in excess of 11% I cannot see any reasons for the weakness.

Hi Pierre. I dipped my toe in BRE after you mentioned it.  I think it is so illiquid and unfollowed that it is even more volatile than BPO prefs, which is saying something. I imagine/hope that as rate cuts materialize it will trade up nicely as a play on the long-awaited residential RE rebound. For those of you looking for income, DHT.UN sold off 30% on news that the CEO fired for expense ...more
