Oh hey CrazySeller. Lol, I forgot to report my trades to you. I happily added to my Es in the $12s and low $13s from mid-June through July as TD and RBC fed them to me on the daily. Es and Cs should trade together with a price gap -- CY 9.88% v 9.27%, FS 7.12% v 7.85%, min div 9.17% v 9.09% on closing prices of $13.90 and  $16.50, respectively. Hey Sonoffergus, you ask what have I've been doing?   I've significantly trimmed down on BPO.    I'm not planning to buy back.    RISK....  I just don't see how BPY can get back to Profitability.... Oh CrazySold. Rates are coming down, no?  Mr. Market is ttransitioning out of tech and into Russell2K on the macro theory that lower short-term rates benefit lesser credits.  Same deal for real estate -- all else equal, lower short rates are positive. Try BBU, which holds a bunch of companies with floating debt and will rock when rates finally drop. As has been said many times here ...more

Sonoffergus, I'm making 1/2 the yield now in LIQUID, RISK FREE investments.   Making extra 4-5% not worth the INCREASING Risk, for me.    But the Cazy Dividends were never the Primary Reason for buying, I was looking for CAPITAL GAINS on share price.  That's were the REAL money is made.   That I will lose out as BPO will most likely continue up. Sonoffergus, your reasoning seems sound under "normal" times, but we are in an INVERTED YIELD CURVE market.... And it's getting worse.... Notice how rates/yields on long term TANKED on slight decrease in BoC rate... and the FEDs didn't cut at all. Everything is upside down right now.
